Week 7: Web Interface Design
This last week gave me quite a bit of trouble. I think I may have just been overthinking it all, because now that I have completed it, I wonder how I got so stuck. I kept reviewing last weeks reading assignments looking for the answers, but kept coming up empty. I knew from my previous programming classes that there was a way to assign the variables accordingly, but it has been awhile since I took any of those classes, and they never really felt complete enough for it all to stick. Anyhow after finally resorting to YouTube and reviewing some videos briefly I was able to figure it all out! It really frustrates me that I didn't think of it sooner, because I knew it had to be something simple but just couldn't figure it out all weekend. It really makes me look forward to my future JavaScript class even more, because although the text tells us how to use JQuery and whatnot instead of writing the code itself, I prefer to know the code itself especially in situations like this. This was pretty basic as far as anything goes also, I presume it will aid me much more in my career to actually know the code where I will most likely deal with much more complicated code. I am posting a screenshot of my working lab assignment below, and I plan to update with my course project with implemented JavaScript when I finally get that finished, hopefully by the end of day!
Lab 6:
It's great that you managed to get through the lab! A few of the CSS heavy labs gave me a lot of trouble but this was one of the few labs where I really breezed right through it. Javascript is pretty similar to regular programming so I think it's just closer to my comfort zone. The screenshot you posted looks neat and well-done. Hopefully, you've gotten over last week's speed bump and have an easier time this week. Good luck to you!
ReplyDeletewhat i found most fun was the CSS and trying to get the and being able to implement that with how the website should look. but i did find it a challenge to implement the Gif to the site.
